Radiology Services
Night Coverage (NightHawk) Radiology Services - When night falls, we’re on call.
Just because the sun’s gone down, doesn’t mean your patients deserve any less care.
And yet, providing in house night radiology cover can place an unbearable burden on already stretched professionals. Night duty requirements are also one of the major reasons for practices losing hard-to-replace full time radiology professionals.
International Teleradiology’s fully trained and certified radiologists can take over night cover for your practice, clinic or hospital, providing referring physicians with preliminary reports within half an hour of receipt of images, and leaving you and your staff fresh for the following day.
International Teleradiology offers a combination of excellence and flexibility, with radiologists instantly available at locations within your own country, and worldwide. Most practices opt for coverage either from 11pm to 7am, or the complete night, from 7pm to 7am. Depending on your practice’s needs, ITC can devise an individual schedule to suit.
Your team of International Teleradiology radiologists can work your night shift during their day time, offering referring physicians the highest standards of reporting, all night long.
We work with each practice to devise the most effective means of responding to their needs, including turnaround times (typically 30 minutes or less) and reporting formats.
Reports can be delivered by fax, email, or telephone. Needless to say, in urgent cases, an International Teleradiology radiologist will pick up the telephone immediately, and will continue to be available for consultation whenever needed.
In most cases, practices opt for a system that starts with their technologist sending our radiologist a preliminary report sheet containing the patient identifiers and clinical history.
Once the images arrive, your International Teleradiology radiologist will review them, and use your form to send the preliminary report.
Day Coverage – Radiology Services - Smoothing out the peaks and troughs.
Medical emergencies don’t occur at scheduled times, and patients don’t present in regular cohorts.
International Teleradiology can help your practice strike the right balance between preparedness and efficiency, and to make optimum use of your time and resources while maintaining the highest standards of medical care.
International Teleradiology’s flexible service structures mean that clients can use our day time services to cover against unexpected peaks, to cover for staff absences on vacation or through illness, or as a regular part of your weekly scheduling.
We understand that every practice has different needs, from the single practitioner to large practices with multiple sites, and hospitals. The flexible schemes we can tailor range from covering absences to assisting your practice to avoid backlogs in elective exams.
The choice is yours to make; the excellence is guaranteed.
Sub Specialty Radiology Consultations - Expert opinions yours for the seeking.
Difficult reads may not present every day, but when they do, your patients need specialist attention, without delay.
Sub-specialty consultations through International Teleradiology Corporation offer your practice convenient access to expertise in a wide range of fields, and enable your practitioners to build relationships with dedicated sub-specialists.
International Teleradiology can assist with neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, cardiac imaging, PET and other nuclear medicine and abdominal imaging including virtual colonoscopy.
Fellowship trained specialists can either relieve you of your caseload in particular areas, or support your practitioners as they build their own expertise in particular fields.
Quality Assurance Over-Reads - A commitment to medical excellence
An over-read is an investment in quality and standards, providing a further level of assurance for medical practitioners and patients alike.
International Teleradiology can help medical practices establish and organize an over-reads schedule and system, making this a smoothly run part of your normal operations.
The schedule can be monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly as you require, with a random selection of exams submitted for a second reading by International Teleradiology’s fully certified and accredited radiologists.
Comparisons of the first and second readings can be carried out by your radiologists or International Teleradiology’s, checking for accuracy and any areas of disagreement.
Increasingly, the benefits of this form of quality assurance are being recognized by regulatory bodies, including, in the United States, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Review mechanisms that have been relied upon in the past, such as partners reviewing one another’s reads, are no longer considered fully desirable.
A systematic and demonstrably independent mechanism such as International Teleradiology’s service arrangements offers you a quality assurance programme you can rely on.
Flexible Radiology Services - With Excellence Guaranteed
Good medical care is all about good people, working together well. International Teleradiology will put together a team of radiologists specifically for you.
Each member of your team will be chosen because he or she offers what your practice needs.
Fully trained and certified, each one of your team members will be accredited and credentialed to comply in full with the regulatory requirements in your locality. Typically between two and five radiologists will take care of reads for your practice, getting to know you and your needs.
Led by specialist radiologist Chris Pozza, International Teleradiology radiologists are medical professionals who will become a vital extension of your in house practice, working to the same exacting standards you set.
International Teleradiology radiologists can remotely read your digital, ultrasound, CT, MR and NM x-ray work. Results can be delivered in the way that you find most efficient, whether that means directly dictated into the client system, emailed, faxed, or by phone.
